10000 k and still awesome.

Gi Gi - April 30, 2021

Put full set of R5's on my GTR1400, I thought the previous tyres that were on the bike when I bought it were good, OMG, the R5's are on a different planet. I have put about 10000 k's on them and they are still holding well but have just started to notice a slight drop with edge grip when feeding it a bit to get into or in front of traffic but under normal conditions are like new.

Great Grip Nice feel Top Mileage...... What's Not To Like?

Aussie Dave - April 7, 2021

Hi from Australia.... I run R5's on my KTM1290SDGT - 15,000kms and they still have tread above the wear indicators (but they are past their best). Previous tyres were stock Pirrelli Angel GT's which also lasted to 15k kms, but had less grip and feel in all weather. My secret was not to use 36f 42r (psi) pressures, but to use 34f 36r for solo riding...... I'm a real world, real roads & traffic sport touring rider, not a track day star, so I don't trash my tyres just for kicks, but I don't putter around slowly..... especially on our world class 300 corner m/c paradise called the 'Oxley Hwy'. I still demand good tyre performance. R5's are a great combo for grip, wear and wet weather performance, and I love the profile and the feel. Top Marks Michelin.... I've run with Pilot Road's over many years, from the not so great PR1's through to the long lasting PR4's, and now the much improved R5.
