Michelin XM2+
Have been using Michelin tyres for decades. Very comfortable and lasting. The new XM2 has improved further
Does not last long as expected and no concern with energy efficiency as advertised.
Tire Review: Michelin XM2 (175/65/R15) for 2008 Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 Sedan LUX I’ve had a rather disappointing experience with the Michelin XM2 in size 175/65/R15. Even my previous local/non-branded tires (195/60/R15) performed better in multiple aspects. Those older tires lasted longer, offered excellent grip on the road, provided better fuel efficiency, and gave me more confidence while driving. In contrast, the XM2 started to lose grip after just 10,000 km. I especially noticed a lack of traction during wet conditions. Recently, one of the XM2 tires even burst after running around 20,000 km, which was quite concerning. To be fair, the XM2 does have some positives—it looks good, offers a quiet ride, and is fairly comfortable. However, the grip is not up to the mark, and the fuel efficiency didn’t meet my expectations, despite the marketing claims I saw on various websites. Thanks to Almighty, there was no accident when the tire burst. But based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend the XM2 for anyone prioritizing grip, durability, and fuel savings. Option for AVEO not available so selected for Cruze. Review and comments for Michelin as a feedback to improve the product. Let me know if it is claimable in warranty or not.
