The Michelin Man Featured in Shanghai
24.06.2010
An unprecedented event, a theme going hand in hand with our corporate signature, a same desire to innovate for a better future – until October 31, Michelin participates in the Expo 2010 Shanghai through many initiatives.
The Group supports the French Pavilion by contributing to a space dedicated to hearing, which helps us demonstrate our tires’ contribution to reducing noise pollution. “Chinese consumers know the MICHELIN brand and tires well,” explains Michel Rollier, Managing Partner. “The MICHELIN brand reputation is about the same in China as it is in France,” he adds.
The Michelin Man will be very visible in the French Pavilion where he will distribute several million MICHELIN gifts to visitors. For the event, the Group published a new Shanghai Guide in English to facilitate international visitors’ mobility. Another interesting fact – just-married visitors coming to the French Pavilion will receive the France MICHELIN Green Guide in Chinese.
The Group technological leadership is also represented with the Active Wheel, which equips the Venturi Volage concept vehicle displayed in the Monaco Pavilion.
More than 70 million visitors are expected for this expo, which should be one of the most important in the history of universal expositions – 135 states and 48 organizations are involved in the event.
“Better city, better life” – the theme of Expo 2010
is very consistent with our corporate signature.
